History
The Kawartha Camera Club was formed in 2012 to bring together photographers, new and experienced, and provide a venue to learn basic and advanced skills required to create more compelling photographs. We are a very active group of people who enjoy learning from each other in a hands-on approach in an enjoyable, social atmosphere.

Meetings and Outings
The Kawartha Camera Club meets regularly throughout the year. During the warmer months, we are outside at various locations in and around Peterborough. In the winter we meet indoors at Grace United Church on Howden and Monaghan Road in Peterborough. We discuss particular topics relating to photography (e.g. macro, portraits, food, etc.). These sessions include an opportunity to practice using your camera. Please check “Upcoming Events” Page for indoor meeting dates and times. A monthly slideshow with photos submitted by members is also presented monthly.
An outing is organized one Saturday each month providing an opportunity to spend the better part of a day at a particular location to focus on photography. At the beginning of each month, a photographic challenge is proposed to the membership and is generally open for interpretation.

The Kawartha Camera Club is organized by a dedicated group of elected positions. This committee meets every 4-6 weeks to discuss and plan club activities, events, challenges, operations, finances and issues.
